Located in Bütgenbach, in the Ardennes, Belgian Eifel and at the heart of Ostbelgien – East Belgium, Worriken Campsite welcomes you all year round in an exceptional natural setting on the shores of Lake Bütgenbach. The campsite combines comfort, outdoor activities and a true nature experience, whether you stay in a tent, caravan or motorhome.
Known for its wide range of sports activities, the campsite is ACSI-approved and was awarded in 2023 in the “Sports Campsite” category.
Campers benefit from functional, well-maintained sanitary facilities, including showers, toilets, washing machines and tumble dryers. All facilities are accessible to guests with reduced mobility. The restaurant is located in the immediate vicinity of the campsite.
Activities and excursions in Worriken
There are plenty of activities on offer, including fishing, hiking, cycling and water sports. For indoor tennis, squash, disc golf, swimming, pétanque or table tennis, you don’t even need to leave the campsite!
The Hautes Fagnes, Belgium’s largest nature reserve, is located just 15 km away.
The Worriken Holiday and Sports Park is especially family-friendly. During the high season, children’s entertainment Vita Kids and sports camps for 5 to 99 y/o are organised. The highlight of the summer is undoubtedly: VENNtastic Beach!

Comfort Pitches
The comfort pitches at Worriken Campsite are designed to offer maximum comfort and privacy in a natural, well-maintained setting. Dogs are welcome.
Pitch features
- Approx. 100 m²
- Suitable for tents, caravans + cars, or motorhomes
- Partially surfaced with grass pavers
- Individual electricity connection (10A)
- Water supply and waste water drainage (55 mm hose required, depending on setup)
- Separated by hedges or fences for greater privacy
- Well-maintained pitches with narrow access lanes

- Maximum 6 people per pitch
- Check-in: 1:00 pm / Check-out: 12:00 noon
- Free Wi-Fi (restaurant, terrace, cultural centre)
- Children under 4 stay free of charge
- Minors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult
- Dogs allowed (max. 2 per pitch) – must be kept on a leash

Basic Pitches
Basic pitches are ideal for short stays, hikers and cycle tourists exploring East Belgium. Located near the reception, they offer a simple and budget-friendly solution for an overnight stay or stopover in nature.

Important information
Campers on Basic pitches do not have access to the benefits of Comfort pitches (such as free access to the swimming pool, VENNtastic Beach and other facilities).
Worriken Restaurant – Mercator
At the Mercator restaurant, we offer a range of dining options to suit your preferences and the nature of your stay.
You can choose between breakfast only, half-board or full-board, allowing you to fully enjoy your stay in Worriken without having to worry about meal planning.
If you prefer more flexibility, you can also order fresh bread rolls or enjoy à la carte dining in our Mercator restaurant.

What are our check-in and check-out times?
The campsites are generally ready for guests by 1:00 PM. We ask that you please vacate your campsite by 12:00 PM on the day of your check-out.
No check-ins or check-outs permitted on December 25 or January 1.

What are the hours of operation of the reception?
Our hours of operation vary depending on the season and occupancy. You can view the current hours of operation here.

Is check-in permitted outside the hours of operation?
You may check-in outside the reception’s hours of operation. Please contact our reception at least one day in advance for this in order to make the best possible arrangements.

Are house pets allowed in the campsite?
Yes, house pets are permitted. Use of a leash is mandatory in Belgium. Each guest is obligated to adhere to the leash law, remove waste and to ensure other guests are not disturbed.
In addition, we require the pet owner to provide proof of vaccinations for each animal upon request.

How can I make a booking?

Is cancellation of a booking permitted?
For bookings of up to 9 units, the following terms apply:
- Standard rate: Unfortunately, this option does not allow for cancellation or modification of the booking.
- Flexible rate: Cancellation or modification of the booking is possible free of charge up to 3 days before arrival. In the event of cancellation within 3 days of arrival or in the event of a no-show, the full cost of the stay will be charged.
For bookings of 10 units or more, the following conditions apply:
- Up to 31 days before the stay: free cancellation
- 30 to 8 days before the stay: 80% of the units booked will be charged.
- From 7 days before the stay: 100% of the units booked will be charged.

Which forms of payment do you accept?
The current deposit and payment terms apply (see section 8 of our general terms and conditions of sale). Once the booking has been made, you will receive the relevant invoice.
Depending on the type of booking, the following conditions apply:
Up to 9 units:
– Standard rate: the total amount is due upon booking
– Flexible rate: no deposit required, payment is made on arrival
From 10 units:
– 30% deposit on the units booked
– Balance to be paid after the stayWorriken reserves the right to cancel bookings if payment is not received within the specified time frame.
For last-minute bookings, payment can be made on arrival by credit card, debit card or cash. -
Is a waste disposal station for chemical toilets available on site?
Yes, Camping Worriken has a waste disposal station for cassette-type chemical toilets.

Are there special rules for minors and groups?
Minors under the age of 18 may only be permitted as guests when accompanied by an adult or by written permission from the parents. You can obtain the document required for transfer of responsibility at our reception. (info@worriken.be)
Groups and minors up to the age of 21 are permitted only by advance arrangement.
