Treasure hunt

The Worriken treasure hunt is a fun and exciting activity for all ages – even if the challenges are perceived differently by the participants.

For younger children, the fun lies in the calculations and solving the riddles, while for older children and adults, the real challenge sometimes lies in reaching the riddles themselves: some are hidden on a tree trunk or in a pipe – child’s play for the children, but a real sporting challenge for the adults.

An ideal activity for birthdays, team-building events or hen/stag parties!

1. Follow the route

Follow the arrows or use the treasure map, Google Maps or Outdooractive. If you use digital navigation, make sure your smartphone’s location services are enabled.

2. Keep your eyes open!

• Arrows: show you the way.
• Sabres: count them!
• Skulls: mark the locations of the 27 challenges and riddles.

3. Crack the code

At the end of the route, solve the separate treasure hunt code challenge. The solution reveals the number combination needed to unlock the treasure chest.

4. Find your treasure

The treasure chest is available at reception or at the ski rental – Fun4All. Bring your own treasure or order one in advance – sweets, company gifts or fun souvenirs, for example.

• Distance: 2.9 km with 25 metres of elevation gain
• Duration: Approximately 2.5 hours, including solving the riddles. The actual duration mainly depends on the dynamics of the group!
• Start and finish: At the old tennis court, next to the Mercator terrace
• Good walking shoes and suitable outdoor clothing are essential.
• Not suitable for pushchairs or strollers.

Print the documents below and follow the route using the treasure map and riddles.

Please note:

The sheet with holes required for question 14 is not available online. You can collect it at reception.

The solutions are also available below. Please do not show them to your group so that everyone can enjoy the challenge!

Pick up the complete treasure hunt pack at reception. It includes:

• the treasure map
• the questionnaire
• the final question to crack the treasure code
• the sheet with holes for question 14
• a treasure chest with a padlock, which you can fill yourself with a treasure for your group

Price: €10 – free for overnight guests.

The treasure hunt pack (map, questionnaire, final question, sheet with holes) and an empty treasure chest can be borrowed at the rate of €10. Overnight guests don’t pay anything.

Attention: it’s up to you to fill the treasure chest!
