Treasure hunt

The Worriken treasure hunt is a fun and exciting activity for all ages – even if the challenges are perceived differently by the participants.

For younger children, the fun lies in the calculations and solving the riddles, while for older children and adults, the real challenge sometimes lies in reaching the riddles themselves: some are hidden on a tree trunk or in a pipe – child’s play for the children, but a real sporting challenge for the adults.

An ideal activity for birthdays, team-building events or hen/stag parties!

• Questionnaire
• Treasure map
• Envelope containing the last quiz (will only be opened at the end)
• Treasure chest with treasure

• Length: 2.9 km
• 25 altimetres
• Start and finish at the old tennis court by the Mercator terrace or at the Reception
• Good footwear and suitable outdoor clothing are required
• Not suitable for strollers.

• You can follow the route using the map on Google Maps or the map in Outdoor Active (you need a free Outdoor Active account). In both cases, you need to switch on the geolocalisation of your smartphone.
• You can follow the arrows for the treasure hunt (see photos).
• You can read the route on the treasure map.

Along the route you will see 3 types of signposts:

• Arrows are to be followed: they indicate the way
• Sabres are to be counted: indicated all the sabres you counted on the answerform
• Skulls indicate where there is a task to accomplish: there are 27 skulls in total

At the end of the hike comes the last task, a 28th ultimate question, which is in an envelope that the group leader carries with him/her and which is only to be opened at the end: The result of this last question is the number code that can be used to open the lock of the treasure chest.

The treasure chest:

1. Either you fill the chest yourself
2. Or you order “the treasure” in advance at the reception.

Count 2.5 hours

for the treasure hunt with puzzle solving.

However, the duration of this activity mainly depends on the group dynamics!

Afterwards, you can enjoy a cosy get-together in our restaurant, enjoy some eat and drink and reflect on the adventure.
